How Much Does a Laser Device Cost? Monthly Rates, Running Costs and Service

What does a laser device really cost? The honest answer: more than just the monthly rate, but often less than many people fear. For your planning, it is not only the laser device cost at purchase that counts, but everything that adds up every month: electricity, maintenance, wear parts, consumables, training and marketing. This page shows you the monthly rates for all SIACSKIN devices, explains each cost block and helps you work out your total monthly costs, even if you are looking for the price of a professional laser hair removal device.

Instead of device prices, we give monthly rates, because most studios and practices finance their device. All rates are example rates, net, over a 60-month term. The questions you should clarify before buying are covered in the guide Buying a laser device, and the financing models in detail under Leasing and financing a laser device.

Monthly rates of all SIACSKIN devices at a glance

For most businesses, the rate is the largest fixed item. The table shows the example rates, sorted by area of use:

Device Technology and use Rate from (net/month)
DEWEON 4LD Diode laser, 755/808/940/1064 nm, hair removal approx. €470
AlexDUAL UFO Alexandrite 755 nm + Nd:YAG 1064 nm, hair removal approx. €1,190
VCL DERMALIGHT LED hair removal for light, fine hair approx. €190
PICOLO S Q-switch, PMU removal, carbon peeling approx. €130
PICOLO L Q-switch with long pulse, tattoo removal approx. €690
PICOLO XL Picosecond laser, 4 wavelengths approx. €1,000
FRACO CO2 XL Fractional CO2 laser, 100 W approx. €800
TULIX Thulium 1927 nm + erbium 1550 nm, non-ablative approx. €600
EUPHEUS RF microneedling up to 7 mm approx. €270
EUPHEUS V RF microneedling with vacuum approx. €270
DERMAFORCE BBL PRO BroadBand Light, skin rejuvenation approx. €450
JORDISHAPE Body contouring approx. €230
DERMALIFT / DERMALIFT PRO HIFU or MFU + SD approx. €240 / approx. €300
PELVIO PRO Pelvic floor chair from €100

The actual rate depends on term, down payment and creditworthiness. Use the price calculator to try out other terms, and the laser device comparison shows the technologies side by side.

The cost blocks of a laser device

Besides the rate, there are running costs that you should plan for from the start:

Cost block What it includes Fixed or variable
Device rate Leasing, hire purchase or loan; with SIACSKIN, no down payment on request fixed
Electricity and room climate Operation of the device and cooling, air conditioning or ventilation of the room variable
Maintenance and service Regular inspection of the cooling circuit, filters, optics and energy output; chargeable call-outs after the warranty mostly fixed
Wear and consumption Depending on the technology: needle tips, flash lamp, contact gel, distilled water, hygiene supplies variable
Training Introduction to the device included, advanced courses and expert certification if needed one-off or when new staff join
Marketing Website, map listings, ads, before-and-after documentation fixed (budget)
Incidental costs Protective goggles matched to the wavelength, insurance, skincare products for aftercare mixed

Consumables and wear: this is where the devices differ

Consumption is where the biggest differences lie. A device with a low rate but expensive wear parts can cost more over the term than one with a higher rate and no follow-up costs. According to SIACSKIN's product specifications:

  • DEWEON 4LD: no shot limit, designed for over 100 million shots, no follow-up costs for shots.
  • AlexDUAL UFO: designed for up to 100 million shots, with no repurchase.
  • VCL DERMALIGHT: no consumables, service life of 80 to 100 million applications.
  • TULIX: no consumables and no shot limit.
  • EUPHEUS and EUPHEUS V: The needle tips are consumables and are changed after every client. Replacement needles for the EUPHEUS are available directly in the shop.
  • DERMAFORCE BBL PRO: The dual lamp is the wear part. Customer management counts the shots; service will tell you the actual lifespan.
  • KYROMASTER: The cold air cooling needs no consumables.

Always break the variable costs down to a single treatment. For hair removal with a laser that has no shot limit, usually only contact gel and hygiene supplies remain; for RF microneedling, the needle tip belongs in every calculation. Background is provided by the guides Diode laser hair removal and RF microneedling.

Electricity and space: often underestimated

Powerful lasers place demands on the electrical connection. The DEWEON 4LD is rated at 6000 W, the AlexDUAL UFO at 7500 W total power. Before delivery, have an electrician check whether there is a dedicated, appropriately fused circuit. Because lasers give off heat, the room also needs air conditioning or good ventilation. Ongoing electricity costs depend on your tariff, operating time and utilization.

Service, maintenance and warranty

One service per year is usual, more often with heavy use. SIACSKIN gives a 2-year warranty, and maintenance, spare parts and support come from Düsseldorf. Plan a budget for maintenance and possible repairs for the period after the warranty, and ask before buying what a call-out costs and how quickly spare parts are available. How service works is described under Service and maintenance, and tips for a long service life are in the guide Maintenance and lifespan.

Training and marketing belong in the budget

With SIACSKIN, the introduction to the device is included in the purchase. Advanced training and expert certification courses are offered by the SIAC Akademie. The second item is marketing: a device only earns money once your calendar is full. A fixed monthly budget for your website, map listings and ads therefore belongs in every cost plan. You will find ideas for this in the guide Marketing and winning clients.

How to work out your monthly device costs

  1. Note the rate of your preferred device (example rate, net, 60 months).
  2. Work out the variable costs per treatment: consumables, hygiene, proportionate wear.
  3. Add the fixed extra costs per month: maintenance reserve, insurance, marketing budget.
  4. Estimate the treatments per month, preferably cautiously rather than optimistically.
  5. Divide the total costs by the number of treatments: that is your cost rate per treatment, which your price must clearly exceed.

The guide Opening a laser studio shows how to derive prices and the number of treatments you need from this. For physicians there is also the guide Laser devices for practices and clinics.

Frequently asked questions

What does a professional laser hair removal device cost per month?

At SIACSKIN, the DEWEON 4LD diode laser starts at approx. €470 per month, and the AlexDUAL UFO with alexandrite and Nd:YAG at approx. €1,190. For light, fine hair there is the VCL DERMALIGHT LED system from approx. €190. All rates are example rates, net, over a 60-month term. On top of that come running costs such as electricity, maintenance, hygiene supplies and marketing.

What follow-up costs does a laser device have?

Typical follow-up costs are electricity, maintenance and service after the warranty period, wear parts or consumables depending on the technology, training for new employees, insurance, protective goggles and a marketing budget. How high the variable share is depends heavily on the device: a laser without a shot limit causes hardly any cost per shot, while with RF microneedling the needle tips are a fixed item per treatment.

Does a diode laser need consumables?

Hardly. The DEWEON 4LD works without a shot limit and is designed for over 100 million shots, so there are no follow-up costs for shots. In daily use you need contact gel, hygiene supplies and the intended water for cooling. Regular maintenance comes on top.

Is training included in the price?

Yes, with SIACSKIN the introduction to the device is included in the purchase and takes place on site with experts who work with the devices themselves. Advanced training and expert certification courses are offered by the SIAC Akademie. You should plan for these courses above all when new staff are to work on the device.

How often does a laser device need servicing?

One service per year is usual, more often with heavy use. SIACSKIN gives a 2-year warranty, and maintenance, spare parts and support come from Düsseldorf. What a call-out costs after the warranty period is best clarified before buying, in the free consultation.
