Laser Device Manufacturer from Germany: How to Recognize One
If you are looking for a laser device manufacturer from Germany, you usually want more than just a device: a contact person who knows the technology firsthand, keeps spare parts in stock and is still reachable in five years. On the market, however, manufacturers, importers, dealers and resellers often make similar promises. This page shows you how to recognize a genuine manufacturer, what to look for when buying a medical or cosmetic laser device and which questions you can ask any supplier before you sign.
Dealers and importers can be good partners. What matters is that you know who is actually responsible for development, documentation, service and spare parts. That is exactly what this page clarifies. General purchasing criteria can also be found in the guide Buying a laser device.
Manufacturer, importer, dealer, reseller: the differences
| Role | What they typically do | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Manufacturer | develops and builds the device, places it on the market under its own CE marking, is responsible for documentation and software | direct access to technology, spare parts and updates; one contact person for everything |
| Importer | brings a device from a third country into the European market | service and spare parts often depend on the supplier abroad |
| Dealer | resells devices from one or more manufacturers | advice can be good, but technical questions are usually passed on to the manufacturer |
| Reseller / platform | offers devices via online shops or marketplaces, often without in-house technical expertise | always check origin, documentation and service before buying |
What counts for you: anyone who does not build the device themselves often has to check with the supplier first in the event of a defect or a software question.
How to recognize a genuine manufacturer
- Manufacturer details on the type plate and declaration of conformity: The name on the device, in the instructions for use and in the EU declaration of conformity should be the same as that of the supplier.
- In-house engineering department: Questions about wavelength, cooling, pulse duration or software are answered by someone in-house, not only after checking with the supplier.
- Spare parts on site: Handpieces, cooling components and wear parts are stocked in Germany, not ordered from abroad on demand.
- Training by practitioners: Training is provided by people who work with the device themselves.
- Showroom: You can view and test the devices before buying, instead of only seeing brochures and videos.
- Fixed address and availability: A company headquarters with a commercial register entry and a phone number where someone picks up.
What to look for when buying a laser device
Whether you buy from a laser manufacturer in Germany or from a dealer: these points belong in every offer.
- CE marking and conformity documents: Look for the CE marking and ask to see the conformity documents. Which requirements apply to your business should be clarified case by case.
- Documentation in German: Instructions for use, safety notes and parameter recommendations should be available in German.
- Service and spare parts in Germany: Ask about response times, maintenance intervals and who the technicians are.
- Training: Is onboarding included in the price? Are there advanced courses for new employees?
- Warranty: Get the duration, scope and what applies after expiry in writing.
- On-site test: Try out the handpiece, cooling and software in the showroom.
- Financing: Compare leasing, rent-to-own or a loan, and calculate the monthly rate against your planned treatments.
Operating a laser also includes laser protection and safety goggles matching the wavelength. An overview is provided by the guide Laser protection and safety; you should clarify the personal requirements case by case. Whether a used device is an alternative is examined in Laser device used or new.
Checklist: the questions to ask every supplier

- How long does the warranty last, and what does it cover?
- Can I test the device before buying?
- Which financing models are available, and is a start with no down payment possible?
- Are there consumables or shot limits that cause running costs?

Frequently asked questions
How can I tell whether a supplier is really a manufacturer?
Check which name appears on the type plate, in the instructions for use and in the EU declaration of conformity. If it matches the supplier, that is a good sign. Also ask where the device is developed and built, where spare parts are stored and who the technicians are.
Is a dealer automatically worse than a manufacturer?
No. Dealers can also give good advice and deliver reliably. What matters is that it is clearly regulated who takes care of service, spare parts and software updates and how quickly help arrives if the device fails.
What should I look for with CE marking?
Make sure the device carries a CE marking and ask to see the conformity documents. Which further requirements apply to your business should be clarified case by case.
Can I test SIACSKIN devices before buying?
Yes, in our showroom at Dreischeibenhaus in Düsseldorf by appointment.
What warranty and service does SIACSKIN offer?
You receive a 2-year warranty. Onboarding and training through the SIAC Akademie are included, and service and spare parts come from Düsseldorf.
Can I finance a laser device with no down payment?
Through our partner bank, leasing, rent-to-own, a loan or purchase are possible, with no down payment on request and also for start-ups, subject to credit check. Rates start, for example, at approx. €130 for the PICOLO S and approx. €470 for the DEWEON 4LD, net per month for a 60-month term.
All rates net, example calculation based on a 60-month term, subject to credit check. As of October 2026.
