The PICOLO S is a powerful nanosecond-based Q-Switch Nd:YAG laser designed for the controlled and effective treatment of tattoos and pigmentation disorders. Extremely short nanosecond pulses strike the pigment embedded in the skin in a targeted manner with high energy density and fragment it mechanically.

In the process, ink and pigment particles break down into fine microfragments, which are then gradually removed by the body's own clearance processes, in particular the lymphatic system. When performed correctly, the treatment is precise, gentle on tissue and free of scarring.
