The PICOLO L brings professional, clinic-level tattoo removal to your studio or practice – without a large-scale system. The Q-Switch Nd:YAG laser system works with an ultra-short pulse duration of 3 nanoseconds and extremely high peak power. The result: a strong photoacoustic shattering of pigment with minimal thermal load on the surrounding tissue – even on multicoloured and resistant tattoos.

What makes the PICOLO L special is its versatility. In addition to the 1064 nm and 532 nm wavelengths, there are five attachments – fractional, 755 nm honeycomb, 1064/532 nm zoom, 585 nm and collimator (parallel light) – as well as six treatment modes: STP, PTP, Multi Pulse, Genesis, Alex Pulse and Long Pulse. This turns the tattoo laser into a platform for pigment, skin texture, carbon peeling and redness.

Technology and mode of action

In Q-Switch operation, the laser energy is stored and released in an extremely short, very high-energy pulse of just 3 ns. This pulse duration is shorter than the time it takes for the pigment to heat up and pass the heat on to the surrounding tissue. The energy therefore acts primarily photoacoustically: a pressure wave breaks ink and pigment into the finest particles, which the body then clears via the lymphatic system.

Each colour absorbs light of a specific wavelength best. 1064 nm penetrates deeply and reaches dark pigments, 532 nm is absorbed by red and light colours, and the 585 nm attachment complements this with blue tones and redness. Multi Pulse technology splits the energy into several controlled pulses per cycle – reducing skin trauma and increasing treatment comfort, especially at higher energies or on sensitive areas. In Genesis mode, with up to 5000 mJ, the skin is gently warmed and stimulated – the basis for carbon peeling and skin rejuvenation.

A combined cooling system of water, air and 600 W compressor cooling keeps the operating temperature constant – for consistent energy delivery, safe continuous operation and a long service life for all components.

Yes. 1064 nm treats dark and deep-seated colours, 532 nm red, orange and light colours, and the 585 nm attachment blue tattoo colours. For particularly resistant tattoos, Alex Pulse and Long Pulse modes are available.
