Sylfirm X Alternative: EUPHEUS and EUPHEUS V RF Microneedling from the Manufacturer

“Buy Sylfirm X” or a Sylfirm X alternative: the Sylfirm X from Viol Medical is a bipolar RF microneedling system that the manufacturer calls “Dual Wave”. According to the data sheet, it works at 2 MHz, with four continuous (CW) and four pulsed (PW) modes and a needle depth of 0.3 to 4.0 mm. SIACSKIN offers two in-house alternatives: the EUPHEUS with insulated pure gold needles up to 7 mm depth, nano tip and Cold Hammer, and the EUPHEUS V with vacuum, dual and triple pulse and a stepper motor handpiece. Both are available on leasing from approx. €270 per month.

Dual Wave or vacuum with multiple pulses

All three devices combine fine microneedles with radiofrequency: the needles create controlled micro-injuries, heat builds up at the tips in the dermis, and the body's own regeneration and the formation of collagen and elastin are stimulated. What differs is how the energy is delivered. With the Sylfirm X, Viol puts the choice between continuous and pulsed delivery at the center, in four modes each, and discusses the device in its professional webinars in the context of melasma, among other things.

The EUPHEUS V takes a different path. The adjustable vacuum lifts the skin and fixes it to the treatment head so that the needles penetrate evenly and with less force. With dual and triple pulse, you deliver the energy per insertion at two or three depths and thus reach several skin layers in one pass. The stepper motor inserts the needles without impact, which keeps bleeding and pain sensation low. The EUPHEUS relies on three pulse modes, a high output of up to 400 W and the Cold Hammer, which soothes the skin immediately after treatment.

Needle depth: face, body and scars

At 0.3 to 4.0 mm, the Sylfirm X mainly covers the face and layers close to the surface. The EUPHEUS V works from 0.7 to 4.0 mm and is suitable for face, neck, décolletage and body areas such as abdomen, arms and thighs. The EUPHEUS reaches up to 7 mm and is therefore also designed for stretch marks, body tightening and, according to the product description, for hyperhidrosis in the armpits. With the nano tip you can also work entirely without insertion, for example for pore refinement and for working in active ingredients. Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between EUPHEUS and EUPHEUS V?

The EUPHEUS is the RF microneedling device with needle depth up to 7 mm, nano tip and Cold Hammer. The EUPHEUS V adds vacuum in six levels, dual and triple pulse and a stepper motor handpiece, and works from 0.7 to 4.0 mm.

What does vacuum add to RF microneedling?

The vacuum lifts the skin and fixes it to the treatment head. The needles penetrate evenly and with less force, the energy is placed more precisely and the treatment is usually perceived as more comfortable.

How deep should an RF microneedling device be able to go?

For the face, a few millimeters are usually enough. For body areas, stretch marks and pronounced scars, more depth is helpful. The EUPHEUS offers up to 7 mm, the EUPHEUS V up to 4.0 mm, each adjustable in 0.1 mm steps.

Is RF microneedling painful?

The treatment is considered low in pain. Insulated needles spare the skin surface; with the EUPHEUS the Cold Hammer soothes the skin immediately afterwards, and with the EUPHEUS V vacuum and stepper motor ensure a gentle insertion. Sensation is individual.

How much does an RF microneedling device cost per month?

As an example: EUPHEUS and EUPHEUS V are each available on leasing from approx. €270 net per month for a 60-month term, subject to credit check.
