Focused applicator or filter system

Both systems use the same basic principle: broadband light is absorbed by melanin or hemoglobin, converted into heat and thus acts on pigment spots or dilated vessels. The difference lies in the concept. With the Lumecca, InMode concentrates the power in the visible range between 500 and 600 nm, where melanin and hemoglobin absorb well, and offers two applicator versions with different lower limits. The applicator is operated on an InMode platform.

The DERMAFORCE BBL PRO is a standalone device. With nine magnetically guided filters you select the wavelength range to suit the target structure: pigment filters for age spots and sun damage, vascular filters for couperose and rosacea, acne filters for acne and post-inflammatory redness, as well as filters for skin rejuvenation and hair reduction. With pulse widths up to 800 ms in single and multiple pulse, you tailor the treatment to skin type and indication. Background on the method can be found under BBL and IPL light treatment.

Two light windows for face and body

The size of the light window determines how quickly you work and how precisely you can treat the nose, upper lip or eye area. The Lumecca works with a window of 10 × 30 mm. The DERMAFORCE BBL PRO comes with two attachments: 45 × 15 mm for décolletage, hands, arms and back, 30 × 12 mm for small and curved areas. Because the fluence remains constant across the whole window, treatments are easy to reproduce, even when different staff members operate the device.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between BBL and IPL?

Both work with broadband pulsed light. BroadBand Light on the DERMAFORCE BBL PRO relies on even energy delivery with fluence that is constant across the entire spot window, short pulses and nine filters from 400 to 800 nm. How an individual IPL system behaves depends on the respective device.

Which skin problems does the DERMAFORCE BBL PRO treat?

Age spots, pigment spots and sun damage, redness, rosacea, couperose and telangiectasia, acne, acne scars and post-inflammatory erythema, as well as fine lines, uneven skin texture and enlarged pores. With the appropriate filters, hair reduction as a complement to the laser is also possible.

Is there downtime after a light treatment?

As a rule, no. The sessions are short, and the sapphire contact cooling protects the skin surface. Pigment spots may temporarily darken and then flake off. How many sessions are needed depends on the findings and skin type.

Is a BBL device worth it if I already have a laser?

Often yes, because light treatments cover different indications than a hair removal laser and sell well as a course or combination. Whether it pays off for you, check with your own assumptions in the price calculator.

How much does the DERMAFORCE BBL PRO cost per month?

As an example: on leasing from approx. €450 net per month for a 60-month term, subject to credit check. With no down payment on request, also for start-ups.
