The SIACSKIN VCL DERMALIGHT is a next-generation LED epilation system that starts exactly where classic lasers reach their limits: with light, blonde and fine hair as well as vellus hair. Instead of laser or IPL, the VCL DERMALIGHT works with VCSEL LED technology: 20 high-power LED chips of 60 W each deliver a combined 1200 W in an optimised spectrum of 755–890 nm. Treatment is low-pain, usually requires no downtime and is suitable for almost all skin types.

Technology and Mode of Action

LED epilation also uses the principle of selective photothermolysis: light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair and converted into heat that weakens the hair root. Light and fine hair, however, contains little melanin. The broader, finely tuned spectrum of 755–890 nm and the high total power of the 20 LED chips ensure that even low-pigment follicles absorb enough energy – evenly distributed across the large treatment window of 18 × 24 mm.

The integrated AI-assisted control automatically adapts energy, pulse frequency and treatment duration to skin type, hair colour and hair structure. Frequency (1–10 Hz) and fluence (1–50 J/cm²) can also be set manually in EXPERT mode. Integrated air and water cooling keeps the system stable and the treatment comfortable.
